Three National Geographic ºìÐÓÊÓÆµler (UK) writers awarded at the AITO ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Writer of the Year Awards

On the evening of 3 November 2022, AITO, the Specialist ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Association (), announced the results of its prestigious 2022 ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Writer of the Year Awards, the 25th year since the awards were launched.

Alicia Miller won AITO ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Writer of the Year (TWOTY) over 1,500 words, for ‘’, a feature published in National Geographic ºìÐÓÊÓÆµler (UK).

Writer Aaron Millar was awarded third place in the same category for his piece , also in National Geographic ºìÐÓÊÓÆµler (UK), and National Geographic ºìÐÓÊÓÆµler (UK) commissioning editor Connor McGovern was also awarded third place in the AITO Young ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Writer of the year category, for his article on ‘’, also published in National Geographic ºìÐÓÊÓÆµler (UK).

The five awards were announced at AITO’s Meets the Media event at the Copthorne Tara Hotel in Kensington, London, on Tuesday 3 November. With over 350 entries for 2022, the judges reviewed each article according to four criteria, seeking copy that was inspirational, informative, interesting and well-written.
