  • The Magnificent Seven saddle up and hit the trail.

    Tony Gilmour, Tim Green, Robert Holding, Donnie Nicolson, Neil Macmillan, Phil Briggs, Ali Bruce and Dave Scott are the seven brave athletes who are cycling the Gobi for Yamaa Trust. The route they have chosen will take them from Ulan Bator to Dalanzadgad, a staggering 400 miles in 5 days. These seven men are helping to raise money for Yamaa Trust.   • The MacKHAAN Do.

    What a night! The venue, the music, the dancing and of course the brilliant recital of Tam 'O Shanter. Thanks to everyone who made it and for each and every kind donation. We will publish the full details on the final figure later this week and in a few weeks we'll post the footage of all the skillful dancing that our camera men captured.   • A kind donation.

    Amongst all of the incredibly kind donations, someone has also donated an original Doctor Who script from 2005 signed by David Tennant. This script is being auctioned off on Ebay which ends at 10.10pm on the night of the MacKHAAN Do. The winning bidder will be announced at the event.

  • 2010 Objectives announced.

    Following visits to several families in South Gobi this summer we have decided to fund the creation of a school for the deaf in 2010. This will involve building premises, training staff and co-ordinating teaching in a sustainable and effective manner. The project has already taken off with sizeable donations from Dr Andrew Murray and his friends and family, Deborah Stott and Graham and Audrey Montgomery. Thanks guys!

  • Barrhead Rotary Club.

    The Rotary Club of Barrhead will be supporting Yamaa Trust this year and have already begun plans to host a ceilidh style event in Glasgow in March 2010. Full details will be announced in the very near future but in the meantime many thanks to Ian McMahon and all the members of the club - PURCHASE TICKETS NOW.

  • Orphanages built in Dalandzadgad.

    In July 2009 we built two five walled gers in Dalandzdagad for orphans and disadvantaged children in the area. Many thanks to Janice Ballinger, Nigel Harper and the many supporters of the Trust who made this possible. (link to gallery)

  • Accord Hospice.

    Supporters of Accord Hospice, Paisley will be building a ger for a disadvantaged family on 31st July 2009. This will form the climax of a week long mountain trek across the Gobi.

  • Medical Advisor Appointed.

    We have pleasure in appointing Dr Andrew Murray as the Trust Medical Advisor. Andrew has visited the Gobi area with us and will provide medical expertise and consultation where required in the future.

  • Defibrillator donated to South Gobi Province.

    Following meetings with the local government in Dalandzadgad we have donated a defibrillator unit for use in the town of Dalandzadgad and surrounding area.

  • Night at the Oscars.

    Many thanks to Janice Ballinger who raised £2200 at our recent Night at the Oscars party.

  • Ben Lomond climb.

    On Saturday 16th August 13 hardy supporters of Yamaa Trust climbed Ben Lomond. Despite some unpleasant weather the entire party made the summit in good spirits. Thank you to all of you who made the effort to support us. A special thanks to Julie and Scott of PJS Foods who donated a fantastic lunch for all.
