
National Geographic ºìÐÓÊÓÆµler (UK) Big Cats feature wins at 2023 LATA Awards
ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Media is pleased to announce that on 20 June 2023, National Geographic ºìÐÓÊÓÆµler (UK) contributors triumphed at the LATA (Latin America ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Association) Media Awards.
Sarah Marshall, a journalist and editor with more than 20 years’ travel writing experience, came first in the Best Latin America ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Feature – Magazine category for her piece ‘Caimans, Capybaras and Very Big Cats’, which was published in the September 2022 edition of National Geographic ºìÐÓÊÓÆµler (UK). Her award was collected by commissioning editor Lorna Parkes.
In addition to this, Kav Dadfar was runner-up in the Best Published Latin America ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Image category thanks to his striking shot of city life in Havana, which was featured in National Geographic ºìÐÓÊÓÆµler (UK)’s ‘Street Life and Salsa Beats: How Havana is Welcoming Visitors Back in 2022’ piece in March 2022.
Each year, the LATA Media Awards look to celebrate and encourage inspiring and creative Latin America stories. The LATA Media Awards took place during the 10th edition of LATA Expo, Europe’s largest B2B event dedicated to Latin American travel.
This recognition of ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Media’s team follows recent triumphs at the 2023 BSME Talent Awards, including Best Art Team and Best Picture Editor for Oliver Puglisi.
